-Grief-

A definition of grief:

Grief is the response to loss, particularly to the loss of someone or some living thing that has died, to which a bond or affection was formed. Although conventionally focused on the emotional response to loss, grief also has physical, cognitive, behavioural, social, cultural, spiritual and philosophical dimensions.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grief

The slightly different definition we use is the response to loss of anyone or anything you are attracted to, admire, value or appreciate. If you lose something that you resent, there will be the opposite of grief: relief.

What experience is the reason for your grief? Have you lost a loved one, somebody passed away? Did you experience a break up in a relationship? Did you see your child leave the house to live a life of his own? Did your animal companion pass away? Did you experience the loss of a sum of money you had saved or invested? Do you perceive you have lost part of your health or beauty? Or did you lose your job?

Any form of loss of something you are attracted to, value, admire or appreciate can cause grief.
